Two cemetery tours, open houses, and cleanup mornings were held this spring, one on Saturday, May 25th and the other on June 22nd.
Since the May date was a soggy, wet morning, St. Luke’s invited the community to a second Cemetery Tour, Open House, and Cleanup morning on Saturday, June 22nd. A short tour of the cemetery took place, starting at 10 am. Pam Gaudio lead the tour and provided information about the history of the cemetery and stories of some of the interesting people buried there.
Visitors were welcome to drop in anytime during the mornings for the "Open House". They were invited to come and see what was new in the cemetery, ask questions of Committee members, or help with the cleanup.
St. Luke's cemetery is a hidden gem with connections to Cedar Hill, Lake Hill, and Gordon Head pioneer families.
