At the Amazing Journey Day Camp, campers brought food for the Shelbourne Community Kitchen and built a food castle.
Kim Cummins, from Shelbourne Community Kitchen, sent this note of thanks:
We just weighed the day camp donations and wow! We received 107lbs of non-perishable food to help feed families and individuals in our community who are living on low income and experiencing food insecurity.
It was great to visit the day camp again this year and to witness the incredible amount of effort and imagination that goes into the week's events. On behalf of the Shelbourne Community Kitchen, I would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful organizing committee of the Amazing Journey Day Camp for organizing a food drive in support of our programs. In keeping with this year's day camp theme, I agree that "we are stronger when we stand together".
In community spirit,
Kim Cummins
