Sidespersons (aka greeters or minister of hospitality) are needed to help at the 10:00 am service.
People experience the presence of Jesus Christ in the world through the ministry of the church. The first task of the church community is to reach out to all people in Christian love and service. Christian hospitality draws people together, opens them to participation, and sets the tone for the service. Ministers of hospitality (sidespersons and greeters) contribute in a number of different ways at the services.
Important duties during this time are greeting people warmly as they enter the church, welcoming newcomers, making sure that everyone is listed on the sign in sheet, directing attendees to their seats, and guiding people going up for communion.
If you are interested in helping in this important ministry, please leave your name with Bonnie in the office by phoning 250-477-6741 or e-mailing (admin@stlukecedarhill.ca). We plan to set up a roster so that sidespeople serve one Sunday per month.
