As you know, Bishop Logan's Farewell Party will be on October 23rd. See information about the party at this link.
As is customary in the Anglican church when celebrating the retirement of a bishop, the diocese is collecting “a purse” to express our gratitude to Bishop Logan for his years of dedicated ministry. Due to restrictions by the Canada Revenue Agency, all contributions must be made DIRECTLY to Bishop Logan and cannot be received or transferred through the diocese or our parish.
If you would like to write a cheque, please make the cheque payable to Logan McMenamie (not to St. Luke’s or the Diocese). You can also contribute cash. We will collect the cash donations and prepare a bank draft for those donations. Contributions can be put into the collection plate or dropped off at the office. Make sure to note that your contribution is for the Bishop’s Purse.
Please make your contributions by Sunday, October 11th. Contributing to the Bishop’s Purse is considered a personal gift to Bishop Logan. You will NOT be issued a charitable receipt for your contribution.
Thank you for your contributions.
