**A very special thank you to our soloists at the 10am service today: Ben Parker, for playing the trumpet; Dr. Mary Byrne, for playing the flute; and Matthew Robertson, for chanting the psalm.

*Coffee this morning will be in the Sequoia Room (Lounge) rather than in the hall.

**The Church Office will be closed Monday, May 20th for Victoria Day. The office will reopen at 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 21st.

*Next Sunday, Trinity Sunday, May 26th, St. Luke’s Bell Choir will provide special music at the 10 am service.

*Family Barbeque Next Sunday, May 26th from 4 – 7 pm outside behind the hall – Instead of Family Services at 4 pm on the third Sunday of the month in May and June, you are invited to a Family Barbeque on May 26th. Enjoy a relaxing, social time for parents, grandparents, and friends to connect and for teens and children to have fun together. Burgers will be provided. Please talk to Barb Prescott or Sharon Hallsor for more information.

Registration Has Opened for This Year’s Amazing Journey Day Camp, which will be held in the mornings, July 22nd to July 26th. Children born January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2020 are eligible to be campers. The Registration Form is available at the Events page. Early Bird Registration fees available until June 15th are $45 for the first child, $40 for the 2nd child, and $35 for the 3rd child. St. Luke's joins with Church of the Cross each summer for a week-long day camp hosted at one of the churches. This year's camp will be held at Church of the Cross and the theme will be “Mending God’s World.” We will also be looking for Middle School students to be Leaders in Training and High School students to be Small Group Leaders.

**Mark Your Calendars for a Fun Golf Day – Saturday, June 15th starting at 10 am – You are invited to play 9 holes of golf at the Mt. Doug course, 4225 Blenkinsop Road followed by lunch at Fireside Grill, 4509 W Saanich Rd. This Fun Golf Day is open to church friends and family at St. Luke's and Church of the Cross. There will be prizes! A sign up sheet is at the back of the church, or contact Sharon Hallsor by e-mail (hallsor@shaw.ca). Cut off date to sign up is June 12th.

*Fairway Market Community Shopping Cards – Thank you for using your Fairway Market Community Shopping Cards. Earlier this month, we received a payment of $272.95, bringing our total to date to $2,639.01, since we started taking part in this program in 2021. Please continue to use your reloadable Fairway Market Community Shopping Card so that St. Luke's can receive 5% from Fairway Market for every dollar loaded on the card. To join in this program, please pick up your reloadable card from St. Luke's Office. For more information, please contact St. Luke's Office, talk to Brenda Morgan, or visit the Fundraising page.

*Thank You for Your Donations Towards the Recent Work in the Cemetery – The work included repairing the dry stone wall, creating stairs to the area by the shed, and some miscellaneous repairs (totalling just over $5,000). Thank you for donations we have received to date towards these repairs ($1,050). To make a tax receiptable donation, please put cash or a cheque (payable to St. Luke’s Church) in your envelope and noting on the envelope that the donation is for the cemetery. Another option is to visit the Donations for the Upkeep of St. Luke's Cemetery page to find out how to make a tax receiptable donation using a credit card or by e-transfer.

Help Needed – The floor on the stage needs to be replaced. We have received several estimates for vinyl plank flooring. The labour for the installation is a major cost. It was suggested that there may be parishioners who have worked with this type of flooring and could install it. Please talk to one of the wardens, Heather or Brenda, if you could help in this way.

Food Truck Donation to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen Thank you to David Gittens for bringing his food truck, Come and Get It, to the Spring Fair. He donated $125 from the proceeds to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.

A Note From Genessa Poilievre – I need your help. I am taking part in 3 big adventures this year which require fundraising to cover the cost. I am going on an 8-day Ukulele trip to the USA, a 3-day band trip to Vancouver, and an 8-day Scouting Adventure at Camp Barnard in Sooke. I am raising funds to help pay for these adventures by collecting refundable cans and bottles. If you would like to help, please bring your empty refundable cans and bottles to church on any Sunday or call us to arrange for us to pick them up. If you aren't sure what is refundable, you can check at https://bottledepot.ca/we-recycle/beverage-containers/ Thank you for your help, Genessa.

Funding for Life Society is holding a Fundraiser on Saturday, May 25th from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Saanich Fairgrounds. Mark your calendar and plan to attend the family fun event. Funding for Life is a new charity set up to help provide access to funding for treatments and resources not currently covered under Medicare in Canada. For more information, e-mail gail@fundingforlife.ca, call 250-920-5225, or visit fundingforlife.ca
