On Thursday, May 27th, the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation announced that preliminary findings from a survey of the grounds at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School had uncovered the remains of 215 children buried at the site.

On Sunday, June 6, at Christ Church Cathedral and at Christ Church, Alert Bay, church bells will be rung 215 times at 12 noon representing each of the lives lost in a sign of love and respect. The Diocese of British Columbia invites all parishes, if able, to do the same.
