Past Concerts (Pre-Pandemic)

Josh Layne (www.joshlayne.com) presented solo harp concerts at St. Luke's on November 4, 2018,  April 15, 2018, October 28, 2017 and November 6, 2016 to full houses and was coaching the St. Luke's harp choir. At his concert on November 4, Josh's exciting programme of original music and arrangements for harp, new to his Victoria audience, included compositions by Debussy (Arabesque No. 1), Labarre (Caprice), Fauré (Impromptu), Smetana (The Moldau), and Josh’s own arrangement of Greensleeves and others. St. Luke’s Church is a superb venue for harp concerts with its intimate setting and warm acoustics.

Harper Tasche (www.harpcrossing.com) gave a benefit concert at St. Luke's on November 24, 2015. He also offered a workshop to members of the now disbanded St. Luke's Harp Choir (Dorothy Cook, Lyn Oldale and Joan Scandrett).

The Sequoia Women’s Ensemble performed their initial concert "Here Comes Sequoia – A Capella Music from the Beatles to Bartok" on Sunday November 23, 2014. Click here for more information on Facebook on this all-female group.
