We are inviting parishioners to bring food items to decorate the church at Thanksgiving. Please bring non-perishable vegetables (such as potatoes, onions, yams, and squash), fruit, and canned goods to spread God’s generosity. The food will be donated to Shelbourne Community Kitchen afterwards.
Food drop off time will be from 10 am – 12 noon on Saturday, October 11th. Food donations can also be brought to the Thanksgiving service.
We asked Kim Cummins at the Kitchen what items would be helpful for us to collect at Thanksgiving. Their top five most needed items for the Pantry Program are: canned proteins (tuna, ham, chicken, fish), canned plain beans, canned tomatoes, pasta sauce, and toilet paper.
Please bring any of these items as your Thanksgiving donation so that we can help the Shelbourne Community Kitchen Pump Up Their Pantry!
