Community Cemetery Cleanup MorningThis Saturday, October 26th - 9:30 -11:30 am It's time for another cleanup of St. Luke's Cemetery. Please come and help tidy the cemetery for the winter and in preparation for the services in November to recognize veterans. Please drop in at any time on Saturday morning to assist with the cleanup. Please bring gloves and, if possible, tools such as clippers, scrapers, a rake, or an outdoor broom. Many hands make light work. Everyone welcome! |
The Fall 2024 Issue of St. Luke's Prescription is Now Available
Four times a year St. Luke's produces a parish magazine, called The Prescription. Stories of those resting in St. Luke's Cemetery are often featured in issues of The Prescription. The Fall 2024 issue of St. Luke's Prescription is now available to download from the link below. The Fall 2024 issue includes a story by Claudia Berry of her father, Charles Berry's wartime experiences. Print copies of the Prescription are available from the Church office and will be available in the church during the Cemetery Cleanup on Saturday. If you would like a copy mailed to you, please contact Barb and we will mail you a copy. We hope you enjoy reading this issue. Save the Date for a Service of Remembrance to Honour Veterans in St. Luke's CemeterySunday, November 10th at 10 am A Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, November 10th at 10 am in St. Luke's Church. The service will start in the church and then will move outside to honour the veterans in St. Luke's Cemetery. The names of the more than 170 veterans resting or commemorated in St. Luke's Cemetery will be read and remembrance pots will be placed on their graves. The service will be livestreamed starting at 10 am as well as recorded to view later at your convenience. |
