The Camas are Out in St. Luke's Cemetery
The camas are out in Garry Meadow at the north end of St. Luke's Cemetery. Please come by and enjoy the flowers and blossoms while they are out at this time of year. Community Cemetery Cleanup MorningThis Saturday, May 11th - 9:00 -11:30 am Please drop in at any time on Saturday morning to see what’s new in the cemetery, ask a Cemetery Committee member to help you find a family grave, or to assist with the cleanup. Please bring gloves and, if possible, tools such as clippers, scrapers, a rake, or an outdoor broom. Many hands make light work. Community Cemetery Cleanup Mornings will also be held on June 8th and July 13th. Hope to see you one of the Cemetery Cleanup mornings. Everyone welcome! |
The Cemetery Tour Featuring the Stories of Women Resting in St. Luke's Cemetery was a Great Success!
The sun came out in the afternoon of April 21st for the cemetery tour sponsored by the Old Cemeteries Society and organized by Yvonne Van Ruskenveld and Barb Prescott. The tour included family stories and reminiscences by ten volunteers. Family members shared memories and pictures of their great-grandmothers, grandmothers, and mothers. Thank you to all those who shared stories of their family members and other interesting women resting in St. Luke's Cemetery. For more infomation visit:
