Please open and view the list (updated October 24, 2023) from the link below to check if your relative's name is on the list. If you would like to add the name of a relative or friend who is a veteran whose name isn't yet on the list or send further information about the veteran, please contact Barb Prescott by e-mail or phone St. Luke's Office (250-477-6741). Thank You to Two Volunteers Who Cleaned the 161 Veterans' Markers
A big thank you to two volunteers who cleaned the 161 veterans' markers over the summer and into the fall. What a wonderful project! As one of the volunteers comments, "This is about our veterans. I have my great great uncle’s WWI scroll as he was killed in action in Belgium. The last line on the scroll reads, Let those who come after see to it that his name be not forgotten." We are honoured that these volunteers chose to help us remember the veterans in St. Luke's cemetery through their work cleaning all 161 of the veterans' markers. |
