It's spring in St. Luke's Cemetery and a good to time to visit and see the flowers and trees that are blooming at this time of year. It's also time to provide an update about upcoming events. While I know that many of you on the e-mail list, don't live in the Victoria area, please share this e-mail with family members who live in the area. |
You are Invited to An Old Cemeteries Society Tour of St. Luke's ChurchyardSunday, April 23rd at 2 pm The Old Cemeteries Society will hold a tour of St. Luke's Churchyard on April 23rd starting at 2 pm. St. Luke’s churchyard is the final resting place for many pioneer families in the Cedar Hill and Gordon Head areas. Through their stories told by members of the Old Cemeteries Society, we’ll learn the history of these areas and their importance in the agriculture of Greater Victoria. Fee is $2 for members of the Old Cemeteries Society, $5 for non-members. |

Mark the Dates for Cemetery Cleanup Mornings
We have picked dates in the spring and early summer for some cemetery cleanup mornings. Cemetery Cleanups are planned for Saturday mornings, May 27th, June 24th, and July 22nd this year. The cleanups are usually held from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Please mark these dates on your calendars. Many hands make light work! |
You are Invited to St. Luke's Spring FairSaturday, April 29th 10 am - 2 pm This year’s Spring Fair will feature a Coronation Tribute area on the stage, where we will display and sell Royal memorabilia. As well, there will be plants, jewellery, antiques, needlework, books, toys, baking, jams, silent auction, vintage clothing and accessories, coffee and goodies, white elephant and more! Free admission. Ample parking. Wheelchair accessible. |
An Invitation to St. Luke's Coronation TeaSaturday, May 6th - 2 pm High Tea with sandwiches and cakes will be served. Enjoy watching the Coronation on a large screen. Tickets are $25 per person, purchased in advance from Claire White by e-mail (events@stlukecedarhill.ca) or from Claire after the Sunday services. |
