St. Luke's is one of the few Anglican Churches in Victoria to regularly hold four services on Sunday. Sunday services are usually at 8:00 am, 9:15 am, 11:00 am, and 7:00 pm. On the third Sunday of the month, there is a combined 10:00 am service instead of the 9:15 service and the 11:00 am service. On Thursday mornings, there is a 10:30 am Communion service.

Note that services over the summer, and up to and including September 17th,
are at 8:00 am, 10:00 am and 7:00 pm.
Please see the home page for details of this Sunday's services.

Sunday Services
8:00 am: A quiet contemplative communion service, using the traditional form which Anglicans have used for over 500 years. The service lasts about forty minutes and includes a short sermon. Join us at 8:00 every Sunday for a spiritual boost which will last all day.

9:15 am: A service with plenty of kids, plenty of music and plenty of God! We use the contemporary form of service, which is an updating and renewal of our long Anglican tradition, to celebrate communion. This service lasts about an hour and a quarter, and has a nursery for our very youngest, as well as Sunday School for their older brothers and sisters. Mom, Dad, and people of all ages will be nurtured by the prayers, preaching, and music of this lively service.

Children's Chancel
Arriving at the 11 Service 10:00 am: A special service held during the summer and during the Christmas season, and on the third Sunday of the month the rest of the year. This combination of our 9:15 and 11:00 services features the very best of both! An open nursery, Sunday School for school age children, and a variety of forms of service means that this celebration of communion is open and welcoming to all. Please note that on Sundays when the 10:00 am service is celebrated, the 9:15 and 11:00 am services are not. This service lasts about an hour and a quarter.

11:00 am: A service which continues the hundreds of years of Anglican worship tradition. With a robed choir and our traditional form of service, you will be led to worship God in the beauty of holiness. If you are looking for an observance with ancient roots to help you address the issues of the modern world, this is the service for you! This service lasts about an hour and a quarter. On the second Sunday of the month in February, June, and November the service is Morning Prayer instead of communion.
7:00 pm Evensong: This sung Sunday evening service has been a highlight of the Anglican church for centuries. Come and close your day and your weekend with this meditative service of Anglican chant, hymns, preaching and prayer. This cosy, hour long, early evening service is just the way to prepare yourself for the week to come! Once a month (second Sunday) this service is a celebration of communion.

Thursday Service
10:30 am: A quiet contemplative mid week communion service, using the traditional form which Anglicans have used for over 500 years. This celebration of communion lasts about forty minutes, and includes a short sermon. Join us every Thursday for a mid week spiritual boost to help you with the day to day cares of life.

What is Communion?
Communion is a “communing” with Jesus, as the center of the community of faith. It is the simple act of sharing bread and wine together, an act which Jesus himself began with his disciples. In it he promises to be with us. The bread is a sign of his strength, the wine a sign of his eternal life. You may hear it called Eucharist, or Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, or in Catholic circles, “The Mass.” If you are unsure about sharing in communion, please speak to someone at the Church.
